Aqua Metals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AQMS) To Develop AquaRefining Technology

Aqua Metals, Inc. (NASDAQ: AQMS) signed LoI (Letter of Intent) with ACME Metal Enterprise Co. to License and deployed AquaRefining Technology at its facility in Taiwan.

Method to produce oxide directly from AquaRefined Material: Aqua Metals is a metal recycling company that signed a Letter of Intent to deploy the AquaRefining facility. The letter of intent is for 60 days to finalize the terms and conditions of the agreement and includes terms for licensing and deployment of Aqua Metals technology (AquaRefining). The letter of intent also has a provision to develop of processing briquettes into battery jointly.

ACEM recent development: ACME Metal recently refined lead bullion into the alloy to sell the same to the global battery manufacturers. With the collaboration with Aqua Metal, ACME will produce high purity AquaRefined briquettes to use the same in oxide production. Both the companies are establishing a partnership to develop the process for recycling AquaRefined briquettes into lead oxide with the help of a ball mill. Earlier, Aqua Metal had developed a process to recycle the briquettes through the melting (Barton Pot) method. With the addition of the grinding (ball mill) process, the company would have the potential to recycled or produce oxide with the help of both methods.

The new technology is expected to strengthen the company’s intellectual property of producing oxide manufacturing and give clients the new technology to convert the oxide directly from AquaRefining briquettes, using both methods a unique opportunity for Aqua Metals.

As per the street, the new relationship is expected to strengthen its business relationship with battery manufacturers and present the company as a lead recycler in Asia and develop the oxide process.
