Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) Unveils Ford Blue Advantage Allowing Dealers To Market Certified Used Vehicles

On Thursday, Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) introduced a single market platform – Ford Blue Advantage. The new digital marketplace allows the dealers to list and market the certified used vehicles.
Benefits to customers
The new website Ford Blue Advantage offers an enhanced digital experience for clients. They can enjoy a host of features like video walksarounds, at-home test driving, and home delivery. The new site also allows the customers to select vehicles with desired options and avail of dealer guaranteed sales price.
Autotrader powers the platform
Autotrader of Cox Automotive powers the new platform launched by Ford. The digital marketplace incorporates innovative features like search-button and relevant algorithms usually provided by third-party listing brands for autos. It also provides information on great deals to customers using Kelley Blue Book Price Advisor.
Ford provides an innovative experience for customers, who want to feel, smell, and touch a used vehicle before making a purchase decision. The dealers and experienced executives at Ford share their experience to gain an advantage over the rivals like CarMax and Carvana.
Ford also expands its certified used vehicles program apart from offering a retail component. All the listings on Ford Blue Advantage come bundled with benefits like additional warranty and technician inspected vehicles. The dealers can also offer higher mileage vehicles with blue certification.
Manager (Used Vehicles) of Ford, Andrew Ashman said the company addresses some concerns of customers like fear and lack of trust in used vehicles. It only offers certified used vehicles by replacing the worn and defective parts with new and genuine parts to the customers.
The dealers can choose to provide gold certification for 6-year-old vehicles with mileage less than 80,000 miles. All the gold-certified vehicles pass a 172-point verification process. They also come with a limited warranty of 12,000 miles or two months, whichever is earlier. The company also offers a power train limited warranty of 100,000 miles or 7 years, whichever comes first.
The dealers can also sell non-Ford vehicles that have a mileage of 120,000 miles or newer/ 10 years old through Ford Blue Advantage. All such vehicles are subjected to a 139-point verification process. They also come with a comprehensive limited warranty of 4,000 miles or 90 days, whichever is earlier.
