Genius Brands International Inc. (NASDAQ: GNUS) has appointed Kerry Phelan to the newly created role of EVP & General Manager of Global Franchise Management. She will report to the CEO and Chairman Andy Heyward and Global Content Sales, Marketing & Consumer Products President Harold Chizick.
Phelan has 30-year experience in consumer branding
Phelan has over 30-years of consumer branding experience. She worked at LEGO systems, where she successfully launched Star Wars before joining Lucasfilm limited. In her new position at Genius Brands, she will oversee managing the company’s global IP cross-merchandising, licensing, promotions and retail.
Phelan said, “The majority of my career has been spent building properties into global franchises, specifically in the children’s space. Having had a peek at the coming pipeline, I am excited about the future at Genius Brands and the opportunity to build bigger brand ecosystems around their properties.”
Deutsch Bank hires a wealth Management team for British and Northern European customers.
Deutsch Bank has hired five wealth managers from UBS as the company looks to expand its Swiss-based private banking business for North European and UK customers. The wealth management team, which Raoul Zehnder will lead, will be serving wealthy customers and the family offices managing their wealth. In addition, the bank is looking to gain market share in the Northern European and British money managed abroad.
