NASDAQ Suspends Trading of Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc (OTCMKTS:HMNY)’s Stock

NASDAQ will suspend the trading of Helios and Matheson Analytics Inc (OTCMKTS:HMNY)‘s stock with effective from Wednesday. It will get delisted from the NASDAQ capital market. However, the stock of Helios will be available for trading on OTC Markets. The stock lost 4% in yesterday’s trading session to close at $0.0072.

The delisting of the Helios stock on NASDAQ is because of its inability to maintain the minimum bid price of $1. NASDAQ served a notice on the company in December 2018 for delisting. The panel of NASDAQ decided on February 11, 2019, to suspend the trading of Helios. The company has got 15 days to appeal against the delisting of its stock to the hearing review council of NASDAQ. However, Helios made clear that it will not appeal against the decision of NASDAQ. The company lost all of its market cap virtually over the last year.

Helios convenes shareholder’s meeting on March 15

Helios has scheduled a special meeting of the shareholders on March 15, 2019, to vote for one time reverse stock split. The board bats for approval of the reverse stock split.

MoviePass did not capitalize on the investments in well-received movies. It is unsuccessful in getting more traffic via MoviePass for better box office performance. The company is trying a damage recovery. MoviePass is putting in efforts to stage a comeback by introducing three-tier pricing in 2019. The new plan offers three movie passes for the viewers in a month. However, users can select more movie passes by choosing higher plans. The company could have benefited a lot from these decent plans if it introduced in early 2018.

Details of new plans

The movie viewers can subscribe to the Select Plan at a monthly payment of $9.95. The users in Select Plan can view select movies. The All Access Plan and Red Carpet plan are available at a monthly price of $14.95 and $19.95. The view of the All Access Plan gets access to all 2D movies that includes opening weekends. The subscribers of Red Carpet Plan can view one 3D movie or one iMAX movie and three movies in a month. It offers discounts for early subscribers to these new plans.
