Google Assistant to help manage EV charging using SolarEdge solutions
Presenting at this year’s consumer electronics show (CES), SolarEdge showed how users could control their car’s charging solar inverter. Notably, SolarEdges’ solution offers a faster means of charging electric cars by over six times compared to existing technologies. The solution integrates an innovative aspect that uses solar installed on the cars to boost the charging rate of the vehicle.
Interestingly, the firm now enables users to give certain commands using Google Assistant. According to Lior Handelsman, Founder and VP of Marketing and Product Strategy of SolarEdge, the integration allows more convenience to EV users. Further, this Google-SolarEdge integration will enable more people to have access to smart solar energy.
Google Assistant integrates into much other software
One of the hindrances to wider and faster adoption of EVs is the rate of charging. Interestingly, there are concerns in some potential customers that the vehicles might take too long to charge. Therefore, it is unimaginable what effect SolarEdge will have on the perception potential EV owners have. In particular, the ability t charge faster and smartly will certainly win more hearts over to the EVs.

The technology will be able to perform tasks like what is on a user’s calendar and offering updates and notifications in that effect.
Further, the software integrated with Lenovo’s smart clock to enable customers to manage their morning and evening routines. This is to say that the clock can smartly suggest alarms based on the daily routine as regards sleeping. Besides, the software will integrate with the Sonos speakers to help users manage their favorite music, podcasts and radio stations.
