TPG Telecom & Nokia (NYSE: NOK) launches a 5G standalone network on the 700MHz spectrum band in Australia. Thanks to that, TPG Telecom will offer deep indoor 5G coverage & comprehensive outdoor 5G services in suburban & urban areas. The Partnership

Thanks to this partnership, Nokia has enhanced its long relationship with TPG Telecom. In the past, the two companies have designed a triple-band radio solution of Nokia for TPG Telecom. In this partnership, ReefShark-powered AirScale product portfolio will supply equipment to Nokia. The types of equipment include a triple-band remote radio unit. This unit supports 3G, 4G & 5G, and 700, 850 & 900 MHz bands across low-band frequencies of TPG Telecom.

The Impact

Nokia, a Finland-based company, will also benefit from this partnership. The company will look to surge its growth, technology, and service. In the last six months, shares of Nokia have witnessed a whopping surge of 33.4%. On the flip side, the industry is growing only at 4.3%. This tremendous growth gives the impression of Nokia’s growth in the world. 

Currently, the 5G SA service of TPG Telecom is available in Sydney. The service will empower customers to get better 5G service. Compared to the existing 5G service, low band 5G service will go deeper into buildings. Because of that, more customers will get 5G service. For instance, the low band 5G service of TPG Telecom will enhance its reach and cover almost 85% of six cities of Australia by 2021.
